Resuscitation Unit 104E
Complete resuscitation capability.
The Resuscitation Unit 104E has been designed as an add‑on module for all our Atom incubators and warmers, specifically for the Infa Warmer and Sunflower. This integrated approach ensures that critical interventions – from suctioning and oxygen delivery to controlled manual ventilation – can be performed without moving the infant or disrupting the thermal environment.
Core clinical functions – three essential capabilities in one unit
The Resuscitation Unit 104E incorporates three distinct component systems, each addressing a specific clinical need during neonatal resuscitation.
Suction unit for airway clearance
The integrated suction unit allows the clinician to remove secretions from the infant’s airways before initiating ventilation. Suction pressure can be adjusted using a dedicated knob and verified on the built‑in pressure gauge.
Oxygen‑air mixed gas supply unit for precise FiO₂ delivery
The integrated blender allows the clinician to select any oxygen concentration. The flowmeter provides continuous visual feedback of gas flow rate.
Resusci Flow unit for pressure‑controlled manual ventilation
For infants who require ventilatory support, the Resusci Flow component provides consistent, pressure‑controlled manual ventilation. The clinician can pre‑set peak inspiratory pressure (PIP) and positive end‑expiratory pressure (PEEP). This intuitive thumb‑controlled operation enables the clinician to focus entirely on the infant’s response rather than on complex equipment adjustments.
Seamless integration with Infa Warmer i
The Resuscitation Unit 104E is designed to mount directly onto the Infa Warmer i keeping all resuscitation components – suction canister, humidifier bottle, and patient circuit – organised and within easy reach.
Alarm function
The unit incorporates an alarm function that activates when the pressure difference between oxygen and air supplies exceeds 138 kPa, alerting the team to potential gas supply issues that could compromise resuscitation quality.
Automatic suction stop
The suction canister is designed to stop suctioning automatically when the contents reach the “FULL” line, preventing overflow and protecting the unit from contamination.
Compatibility with central and cylinder gas supplies
The unit accepts gas inputs from both hospital central piping and portable cylinders, ensuring functionality in delivery rooms, operating theatres, NICUs, and transport settings. This flexibility is particularly important for facilities with variable infrastructure or for transport teams.
