BILI-THERAPY Pad Type
Continuous phototherapy from beneath the infant.
BILI-THERAPY Pad Type delivers therapeutic blue light from beneath the infant, allowing the baby to receive continuous phototherapy while lying comfortably on the treatment surface. This approach is particularly valuable for use in bassinets such as Neo Cot, where the infant can remain close to the mother throughout the treatment.
Optimised blue LED spectrum
The light source emits at a peak wavelength between 450 and 480 nm, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines for effective bilirubin photoisomerisation. This targeted spectrum ensures maximum therapeutic effect while minimising unnecessary light exposure to the infant’s eyes and skin.
Even light distribution across the treatment surface
The pad design ensures uniform irradiation across the entire contact area, providing consistent phototherapy regardless of the infant’s position.
Double phototherapy capability
The Pad Type can be used in conjunction with BILI-THERAPY Spot Type to provide comprehensive double phototherapy – delivering light from both above and below the infant simultaneously.
Safety and design features – Minimal heat generation
The LED technology generates minimal heat, reducing the risk of thermal injury to the infant’s skin during prolonged phototherapy sessions. The pad remains at a comfortable temperature throughout use, allowing treatment to continue uninterrupted.
Durable and hygienic construction
