Infa Warmer i is a radiant warmer designed to accompany the newborn through the entire critical pathway – from delivery room admission to intensive care. It offers a comprehensive set of clinical tools that assist medical staff during resuscitation, routine care, and emergency procedures, ensuring that both patient and caregiver needs are met at every stage.
Far infrared heater with optimised reflector
The heater employs far infrared technology, which provides effective radiant warming while minimising air movement around the infant. Far Infrared wavelengths enhances heat distribution in the whole baby’s body, ensuring uniform warmth and reducing the risk of localised overheating.
Resuscitation function – integrated support for critical moments
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the neonatal period demands speed, precision, and simplicity. Infa Warmer i can be equipped with dedicated resuscitation units that bring essential tools directly to the bedside. Our Resuscitation Unit 104 is an add‑on unit allowing the operator to perform manual ventilation using a T‑piece system. This intuitive design supports effective ventilation during the golden minutes of resuscitation.
With its integrated pressure gauge, suction, and oxygen blending the unit incorporates a pressure gauge, a suction unit with adjustable pressure and an oxygen blender delivering concentrations from 21% to 100%. These integrated capabilities reduce the need for multiple separate devices at the bedside, streamlining the resuscitation environment.
Pre‑heating capability for delivery readiness
The far infrared heater can be activated in advance to warm the mattress surface evenly. This ensures that the newborn is placed onto a pre‑warmed surface immediately after birth, minimising initial heat loss and supporting early thermal stabilisation.
Skin temperature monitoring with alarm system
Continuous skin temperature measurement is displayed in real time. The system generates alerts for temperature deviations, probe disconnection, or system faults, allowing clinicians to respond promptly to any thermal instability.
Continuity through transport
With the optional Power Pack I, the Infa Warmer i can maintain full functionality during intra-hospital or inter-facility transport. This means the infant can remain in the same device from delivery room to NICU (Thermoregulation, Humidity, Oxygen, Hi-Low, SpO2, Canopy and Display are active). This continuity of care reduces handling, minimises thermal stress, and supports a smoother transition through the care pathway.
Adjustable heater output
The heater output can be finely adjusted in 5% increments, providing precise control over thermal delivery. The system operates in servo‑control mode, maintaining the infant’s skin temperature within a narrow target ranging the Thermal Neutral Zone, with display accuracy of ±0.3°C.
Touchscreen interface for intuitive control
The colour touchscreen display allows staff to operate the warmer with simple gestures. Key parameters are clearly visualised, and the system provides immediate visual alarm notifications. A convenient pre‑heat function ensures the mattress is warm and ready before the infant arrives, which is particularly valuable in emergency deliveries.
CPR and APGAR timer for structured assessment
A built‑in CPR and APGAR timer provides audible or visual prompts, guiding the team through the recommended rhythm of reassessment during prolonged resuscitation efforts. This feature supports adherence to established resuscitation guidelines and reduces cognitive load during high‑stress events.
X‑ray cassette access from three directions
Radiographic examinations can be performed without repositioning the infant or disconnecting monitoring lines. The X‑ray tray is accessible from three sides, allowing the cassette to be inserted and removed without interfering with surrounding equipment.
Pressure‑dispersion mattress for skin protection
The specialised mattress is designed to distribute the infant’s weight evenly, reducing localised pressure that can contribute to skin breakdown and pressure sores. This proactive approach to skin integrity supports better outcomes in vulnerable neonates.
Detachable baby guard for hygiene maintenance
The transparent side guards can be removed easily without tools, facilitating thorough cleaning and reducing the risk of cross‑contamination. This design acknowledges the importance of infection prevention in neonatal units, where immunity is immature and healthcare‑associated infections carry significant morbidity.
